Bringing Civil Discourse Online
Built The Line K12 - an interactive publication for K-12 leaders, with an in-line annotation tool that turned reading into meaningful, civil discourse.
The Challenge
The Line K12 was a brand-new publication with an ambitious goal: to elevate civil discourse in education by creating a space for leaders to engage deeply with complex K–12 issues. The challenge was to launch both the print magazine and its digital counterpart in tandem—building the brand identity, editorial framework, and full web experience from scratch while ensuring the digital platform could extend and enrich the print conversation rather than just replicate it.
The Solution
Directed the end-to-end digital launch, from creative vision to technical execution. Developed the online brand system to mirror the credibility and elegance of print while introducing interactive elements unique to the web. Designed and implemented a responsive site architecture, content strategy, and engagement features including a trending content feed and an in-line annotation tool that turned passive reading into active dialogue. Oversaw collaboration across design, editorial, and development to ensure a unified brand voice and seamless launch across channels.
The Results
Successfully launched The Line K12 print and digital platforms in sync, creating a cohesive, multi-channel brand experience from day one.
Delivered an accessible, scalable digital publication that blended long-form storytelling with meaningful audience participation.
Established The Line K12 as a respected voice in K–12 education discourse, attracting thought leaders and fostering genuine conversation around critical issues.
